Indonesia Sumatra Mandheling Coffee

The Indonesia Sumatra Mandheling Coffee is a full-bodied, syrupy coffee. It has herbal, spicy, nutmeg, sweet and boozy flavour notes all in one! When brewing it also lets off a slightly earthy aroma that just crawls its way up your nose. With an impressive SCA score of 84, you really don't want to miss out on giving this coffee a try.

These Sumatran coffee beans are cultivated in the Batak region of Sumatra near port Padang. The mountainous region is 1400m above sea level with rich volcanic soil perfect for growing coffee.

Giling Basah is what gives this coffee its great body & flavour. It is a unique & traditional Sumatran process. The process involves hulling the parchment off the bean at around 50% moisture content. What makes it unique is that most other processes hull coffee at around 10%-12%.

The Giling Basah process gives the green coffee beans a distinct dark colour. The Sumatra Mandheling coffee is triple-picked which means it is hand-picked three times. This ensures that there are no defects resulting in a consistent cup of coffee that includes only cherries at exquisite ripeness.

The Indonesia Sumatra Mandheling coffee is perfect for espressos, cappuccinos, flat whites & lattes!
