  • 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the topping:

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the coffee and milk.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. In a separate small bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and butter for the topping. Mix until crumbly.
  9. Sprinkle the topping over the batter.
  10. Bake the cake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
